Pharmacy CMU Ph.D. Student at Virginia Tech An accomplished pharmacist seeking an engineering degree to use and develop new biological tools to enhance the discovery and production of pharmaceuticals. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. to acquire advanced practical knowledge in biological systems, genetic engineering, synthetic biology, and its powerful applications. A member of the VT PlantSynBio research team, focusing on building a molecular-level understanding of plant chemical signaling pathways and metabolic engineering for efficient biosynthesis of a chemical compound or protein of interests. Will be pursuing a long-term career in academia.
